Minutes – JANUARY 5, 2026

ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING and Regular Monthly Meeting

CALL TO ORDER- Supervisor Chris Blaker began the meeting by nominating Dan Taylor as Chairperson for 2026.  Nomination was 2nd by Frank Bower.  Motion carried.  Supervisor Dan Taylor then nominated Chris Blaker for Vice Chair, Frank Bower seconded. Motion carried.

APPOINTMENTS-

Motion by Dan Taylor to appoint the following positions as read, second by Frank Bower. Motion carried.

Supervisor, Roadmaster and COG (West Branch Council of Gov’t) representative – Chris Blaker

COG Alternate- Frank Bower

Working Supervisors- Dan Taylor, Chris Blaker, Frank Bower

Secretary/Treasurer– Tracy Blaker (PSATS Delegate for 2026 State Conference)

Auditors –Kevin J. Hallock, CPA;   Ashley VanOrd and Brian Williams – Auditors

SEO – John (Tom) Yarnall;  Alternate SEO, Lonnie F. Ohnmeiss
Laborer – Paul Staggert

Sewage Treatment Plant Operators – West Branch Regional Authority

Emergency Management Coordinator- Craig Stamile

Motion by Dan Taylor approve the following salaries, effective January 1, 2026. 2nd Chris Blaker.  Motion carried.

Road Master                           Established by elected/appointed auditors

Working Supervisors               Established by elected/appointed auditors

Laborer                                     $25_per hour             ________________ _

Secretary/Treasurer               $25 per hour________________________

Planning Chair                        $25 per hour for work done outside of meetings

Elected Auditors Salary           $18 per hour (established by State Law)___

Motion by Dan Taylor to authorize compensation for the Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board at $30 per meeting. Chris Blaker 2nd.  Motion carried.

Motion by Dan Taylor to establish the Treasurer’s Bond in the amount of $1,000,000. 2nd Frank Bower.  Motion carried.

Motion by Dan Taylor to appoint the Boards, Legal, Depositories and Emergency Services as read.  2nd Chris Blaker.  Motion carried.

REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS, LOCATION, TIME AND DATES.

Meetings will be held at the Brady Township Office at 1986 Elimsport Road, Montgomery, PA 17752.  Office hours are 7:00 am to 4:30 pm Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Planning Commission – second Monday of each month at 7PM

Supervisors – second Monday of each month at 7:30 PM

LEGAL HOLIDAYS-

January 1 (New Years Day)-  Jan 19  (Martin Luther King, Jr.)   – Feb 16  (Presidents Day) – May 25 (Memorial Day) – Sept 7 (Labor Day)  – Oct 12 (Columbus Day) – Nov 26 (Thanksgiving)

Motion by Dan Taylor to keep the meeting day and time the same and to approve the legal holidays.  2nd Chris Blaker.  Motion carried.

There were no public comments regarding the Organizational Meeting.  Meeting then moved directly into the regular monthly meeting.

Motion by Chris Blaker to approve minutes from December’s meeting; second Frank Bower. Motion carried.

Motion by Chris Blaker to approve treasurer’s report as submitted and pay all bills due; second Frank Bower  Motion carried.

PLANNING COMMISSION – No permits.  Planning Commission maintained the same board during their organizational meeting.

PERMITS –None

AGENDA ITEMS – Tabled setting a meeting time to meet with the Police Chief and Mayor regarding the review of the police agreement.

J Billings Development Consulting LLC was present to discuss their services with zoning, subdivisions and planning.
