The monthly meeting of township Supervisors was called to order at 1986 Elimsport Rd, Montgomery, PA. Members present were M. Goetz, R. Crawford and J. Sear. Also present was secretary Tracy Blaker.
Motion by M. Goetz to approve minutes from March’s meeting; first J. Sear second R. Crawford. Motion carried.
Motion by M. Goetz to approve treasurer’s report as submitted; first John Sear, second R. Crawford. Motion carried.
Police report – Officer Flewelling discussed the incidents reported between 03/01/23 and 03/30/23, a total of six calls. Officer Flewelling also discussed some complaints of vehicles doing donuts and squealing of tires in the township and asks residents to report nuisance vehicles. Also touched on the topic of the number of accidents at Turnback and Elimsport Road.
Sewer report – DEP inspection went well. The NPDES permit renewal has been drafted. Everything is working as it should at this time. Discussed the possibility of needing to budget for new pumps next year, Jeff Siverling will let us know the approx. costs.
Old Business –
Security Camera quote from Intrada came in at $7,333.76 which includes the additional cameras as requested. Discussed using ARPA funds to purchase them. Motion was tabled until we look into the possibility of adding a line item to the budget to purchase them.
Best Line quote for broom for skid steer is $6,192.44.
New Business–
Brady Township will waive host municipality fees during the month of April in honor of Keep PA Beautiful clean up days- Motion was made to approve-John Sear 1st, Reba Crawford 2nd-Motion carried.
Fifth grade students from Montgomery Elementary heading to National Renewable Energy competition in Boulder, Co. in May requesting funding for trip. Motion was made to donate $500 John Sear 1st, Reba Crawford 2nd -Motion carried.
Montgomery Library Odyssey of the Mind team heading to Michigan to World Finals requesting funding for trip. Motion was made to donate $500 John Sear 1st, Reba Crawford 2nd -Motion carried.
Intersection of Turnback Road and Elimsport Road guardrails damaged again due to vehicle going through Yield sign. Supervisor Mike Goetz contacted PennDot requesting to change Yield sign to a Stop sign. Letter was drafted and signed by all supervisors requesting the change.
CTFVD report – Chief Winder discussed the way they bill for ambulance calls and how they do not send resident bills to collection. Chief Winder will supply Brady Township with report as to the amount of bills that go unpaid and will bring to next meeting for supervisors to review.
WTVFD report – Brett Ulrich reported things are well and no issues to report.
Planning Commission -Have not heard anything from County regarding the subdivision of the property owned by BOP.
Permits –No permits
Public Comment – Evan Painton introduced himself and discussed seeking Republican nomination for Lycoming County Commissioner.
