The monthly meeting of township Supervisors was called to order at 1986 Elimsport Rd, Montgomery, PA. Members present were R. Crawford and J. Sear. Also present was secretary Tracy Blaker and attorney Marc Drier. Absent was supervisor Mike Goetz.
Motion by R. Crawford to approve minutes from January’s meeting; second John Sear. Motion carried.
Motion by R. Crawford to approve treasurer’s report as submitted; second John Sear. Motion carried.
Police report – Officer Delp discussed the incidents reported between 01/01/23 and 01/31/23, a total of seven calls. There were no concerns on behalf of the township or the police coverage.
Sewer report – HVAC unit was repaired after a busted hose lost all refrigerant and is now working as it should. Jeff is working on the Chapter 94 report that is due soon. There is a light on the outside on the west side of the building that needs attention as it acts as a strobe light when turned on. WBRA Director, Kurt Hausammann, Jr. has retired and Johnny Lynch Jr. is currently the acting director.
Old Business –
Atty Marc Drier accompanied Roadmaster John Sear to the turnaround on Wise Road. Mr. Drier will create an agreement between property owners and the Township once he receives more information on the width of cartway needed.
Roadmaster John Sear and Laborer Paul Staggert met with a rep from Best Line to discuss skid steer options due to BobCat not producing the model the township ordered. Was given information on a different model that will most likely be in production sooner than the original and will be getting a quote on that. John and Paul will look into alternative brands other than BobCat to see if something of equal style may be available for purchase elsewhere.
New Business
Discussed of the need for a fence to stop debris from blowing away from the recycling containers. We received one estimate and are waiting on two more, will have them ready for March’s meeting.
Dissussed the need to update our security cameras at the recycling area, along with the garage and office buildings. We are waiting on two estimates to come in for March’s meeting.
Paperwork is submitted and being processed for Craig Stamile to be the townships Emergency Management Coordinator. He is currently the acting EMC until he is approved and appointed by the Governor.
CTFVD report – New Stryker power litter and power load units have been received. The annual fund drive requests have been mailed out. They have submitted an AFG grant to replace the tanker truck. EMT course has six members attending. Todd is requesting that Brady Twp. call County to request adding MICU 98 to the CAD so that they may be utilized if the closest unit available. MICU 98 is stationed out of Geisinger Muncy.
WTVFD report – Eleven calls so far for 2023. Finished off 2022 with 3664.23 total of personnel hours.
Planning Commission -Reviewed the updated Solar Ordinance and discussed with Atty Marc Drier. Planning a hearing for March 13 at 6:30 to put into effect.
Permits – Approved Roman permit for 50 Sandbagger Lane-Ground Mounted Solar Panels.
