June 12, 2023 Meeting Minutes

The monthly meeting of township Supervisors was called to order at 1986 Elimsport Rd, Montgomery, PA. Members present were M. Goetz, R. Crawford and J. Sear. Also present was secretary Tracy Blaker.

Motion by M. Goetz to approve minutes from March’s meeting; first J. Sear second R. Crawford. Motion carried.

Motion by M. Goetz to approve treasurer’s report as submitted; first John Sear, second R. Crawford. Motion carried.

Police report – On File

Sewer report – Maintenance crew checked out an alarm at the Staggerts Grove pump station and found the old pump was not working properly. A spare from the treatment plant was installed. Quote for replacement for that spare is $3,100. We will purchase a replacement to keep spare available.

Old Business –

Intrada Technologies is waiting on the rest of the materials to be delivered before they can start the camera project.

Best Line delivered the new Skid Steer and Broom on Thursday, May 25^th.

Kriger Fencing installed the new fencing at the recycling area on May 25^th.

Fritz Station Road- Charles Construction- clean berm of road from rock lined ditch near beginning of road to the ditch line cut in last year scheduled for the week of June 12^th.

New Business-

Todd Pysher discussed an additional option for our Wetland Replacement. We may be able to pay “fee in lieu of”. This would be a one time payment to the State who will use the money to fund wetland projects. We are waiting on DEP to approve that option for us, and to finalize an exact amount.

Resolution 23-04 was approved and signed. This was an agreement with PennDot to use dotGrants- an on-line reporting system to file reports.

Discussed the Wise Road Turnaround and the question of who owns the property the turnaround is on. Alvin Cooke was present and with Todd Pysher, explained reasons he feels he owns that property. We have an estimate from Vassallo for $1750-$1950 to establish the northern line of Alvins property. Reba Crawford made a motion that the township pay for the survey, John Sear 2^nd. Motion passed.

Best Line submitted quote for installation of back up camera for the new skid steer for $1085.25. Motion made by Mike Goetz to use ARPA funds to purchase camera, Reba C 1^st, John Sear 2^nd Motion passed.

CTFVD report – Chief Winder requested information on the agreement Brady Township has with the landfill regarding the .30 per ton fee. Secretary will gather the information and forward to Chief Winder.
