Minutes
The monthly meeting of the township Supervisors was called to order at 1986 Elimsport Road, Montgomery, PA. Members present were Dan Taylor, John Sear, Reba Crawford. Also present was secretary Tracy Blaker.
Motion by John Sear to approve minutes from September’s meeting; second Reba Crawford. Motion carried.
Motion by John Sear to approve treasurer’s report as submitted and pay all bills due; second Reba Crawford. Motion carried.
POLICE REPORT –Report is On File
SEWER REPORT – Report on File-Jeff Siverling present to request the purchase of a new dissolved oxygen probe and meter at a cost of $1872.55. He will get this ordered.

PLANNING COMMISSION –
PERMITS –Joy Pole Barn (416 Ridge Road) and Staggert Pole Barn (571 Bower Drive) were both approved.(DT 1st and JS 2nd )
AGENDA ITEMS –
After brief discussion regarding the condemnation counter offer, a motion was made to accept the offer. John Sear 1st and Dan Taylor 2nd. Motion carried.
Township Engineer, Todd Pysher, was present to discuss the need for a “pre” Prebid meeting regarding the Turnback Project. DT 1st and JS 2nd . Motion passed to authorize advertising for this meeting.
Discussion regarding moving the General Fund from Raymond James account to Jersey Shore State Bank. Secretary Tracy Blaker explained why this would be a good move for the township, including higher interest rates, convenience of local banking, and ease of transferring funds between accounts. Motion made by Dan Taylor to approve the move, John Sear 2nd. Motion approved.
Discussion regarding the recently signed ACT 94 of 2024, which increases the allowable compensation caps for township supervisors from $1875 to $3145 annually effective 12/01/2024. The Brady Township Ordinance 23-02 signed March 13, 2023 regarding supervisor compensation states that township will pay monthly installments the maximum allowed by law, divided by 12. Therefore any new supervisor starting after 12/01/2024 will receive the new salary ($3145 Annually) .
PUBLIC COMMENT-
Montgomery Boys Soccer Team was present and presented a report on how the Hudl software tools have helped them capture, analyze and learn from videos. A motion to donate $1000 for software updates was made by Dan Taylor, 2nd John Sear. Motion passed.
Montgomery Little League representative Paul Kyle was present and discussed the need to update the second story decking portion at Staggerts Field. Motion was made to donate $2000 to the Montgomery Little League by Dan Taylor, 2nd John Sear. Motion passed.
Supervisor Reba Crawford submitted her resignation effective Dec. 31, 2024. Dan Taylor made a motion to accept her resignation. John Sear 2nd. Brady Twp. will request interested candidates to submit letters of interest to the township by November 4, 2024. Will put on Facebook and on the website. Decision will be announced at the November 11 meeting.
